INEA, headquartered in Poznan, Poland, was founded in 1992 and is the leading cable operator in Western Poland. INEA offers triple and quadruple-play telecommunications services to its residential and business customers, including cable TV, broadband, fixed and mobile telephony. Warburg Pincus initially invested in INEA in 2013 when the firm acquired a strategic minority stake in the company. Warburg Pincus has provided funding to support a major expansion of INEA’s Next Generation Access (“NGA”) network, as well as consolidation of the sector. Since the investment, Warburg Pincus has increased its stake to a majority stake as well as supporting the continued growth of the business and strengthening of the management team.
