Julie Johnson Staples joined Warburg Pincus in 2001 and focuses on
firm’s global communications and marketing activities. Additionally,
she provides marketing communications support to Warburg Pincus
portfolio companies. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Johnson Staples was
an Executive Managing Director and U.S. Director of Media Relations at
Hill & Knowlton. She began her career as a journalist and worked as
a White House Correspondent at The New York Times and The Baltimore
Sun. She also covered the U.S. Supreme Court for Time Magazine and
worked on-air as a correspondent at ABC News. Ms. Johnson Staples
earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she is an
emeritus member of the Board of Visitors, and a B.S. in journalism from
the University of Kansas.
