Henry Schacht returned to Warburg Pincus in 2004. He first joined the firm in early 1995, leaving later that year to become the founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lucent Technologies from 1996 to 1998 and returned from 2000 to 2004. Prior to his tenure at Lucent, he was Chairman and C.E.O. of Cummins Engine Company. Mr. Schacht is a director of ALCOA, Alcatel-Lucent and former directorships include AT&T, Avaya, CBS, Chase Manhattan, The New York Times and Johnson and Johnson. He is a Trustee of The Metropolitan Museum of Art; former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Ford Foundation, and a former Trustee of Yale University. He is a former member of The Business Council and of The Business Roundtable. Mr. Schacht graduated from Yale University and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. |
