David A. Coulter joined Warburg Pincus in 2005. He has focused on investments in Financial Services and currently serves as a Vice Chairman of the Firm. From 2000 through 2005, Mr. Coulter held a series of positions at JPMorgan Chase and was a member of the Office of the Chairman. He served as chairman and chief executive officer of BankAmerica Corporation from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Coulter is a director of Aeolus Re, MBIA, Sterling Financial, Triton Container and Webster Financial. He is also a director of Strayer Education Inc. and a board member of Lincoln Center, Inc., Third Way and The National Mentoring Partnership. Mr. Coulter received a B.S. and M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
