David A. Coulter joined Warburg Pincus in 2005 as a Managing Director and Senior Advisor and focuses on the firm’s financial services investment activities. From 2000 through 2005, Mr. Coulter held a series of positions at JPMorgan Chase and was a member of the Office of the Chairman. He also held senior executive positions at The Beacon Group and served as Chairman and C.E.O. of BankAmerica Corporation. Mr. Coulter is a director of PG&E Corporation, Strayer Education, The Irvine Company, Metavante Technologies, Inc., MBIA and Aeolus Re. He also is a board member of the The Asia Society, National Mentoring Partnership and The Social Sciences Research Council. Mr. Coulter received a B.S. and M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
