Cecilia Gonzalo joined Warburg Pincus in 2001 and focuses on investments in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare services sectors. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Ms. Gonzalo worked at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division focusing on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions in Latin America, as well as in the Principal Investment Area evaluating new, and monitoring existing, investments in the region. She received a B.A. cum laude, in biochemical sciences from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Ms. Gonzalo is a director of Rib-X Pharmaceuticals.
