Jeffrey A. Harris joined Warburg Pincus in 1983. During his career, Mr. Harris has worked extensively in the industrial and technology sectors. Currently, he leads the firm’s investment activities in the energy sector, a practice area that he helped create. Mr. Harris worked in Warburg Pincus’ London office from 1991 to 1994 to help develop the firm’s European investment activities. He is a director of Bill Barrett Corporation, Competitive Power Ventures, ElectroMagnetic GeoServices ASA, Knoll, Kosmos Energy, Laredo Petroleum, Osum Oil Sands, Nuance Communications, Sheridan Production Partners and Spectraseis AG. Mr. Harris served previously on the boards of Spinnaker Exploration, Newfield Exploration and Comcast UK Cable. He is past Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association and currently Vice Chair of the board of trustees for the Cranbrook Educational Community. In addition, Mr. Harris is an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses on venture capital, innovation and entrepreneurship.
