Philip Mintz

Philip A. Mintz joined Warburg Pincus in August 2005 and is responsible
for the firm’s Asian real estate practice. He is based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Mintz served as the President of
General Electric Capital Real Estate Asia, based in Tokyo. At General
Electric Capital, he led a business with over 300 employees that
managed a portfolio in excess of $3 billion. From 2003 to 2004, Mr.
Mintz was a Senior Vice President within General Electric Capital’s
Real Estate Group in Stamford, Conn., responsible for the group’s
strategic direction in real estate and hospitality globally. Prior to
his experience at GE, he was a Director in the M&A Department at
Merrill Lynch in New York. Previously, Mr. Mintz was an Associate at
Chase Securities, the predecessor to J.P. Morgan Chase and a Mergers
and Acquisitions attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher &
Flom, LLP. He graduated from Duke University with an A.B. in political
science, received a J.D. from Fordham Law School, and an M.B.A. from
the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
