David A. Barr is active in leading the firm’s buy-out efforts in the consumer and industrial sectors of the U.S. He was a Managing Director at Butler Capital and focused on leveraged buy-out transactions for more than 10 years prior to joining Warburg Pincus in 2000. Mr. Barr also previously worked at Goldman Sachs. He received a B.A. in economics from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Mr. Barr is a director of Builders FirstSource, The Neiman Marcus Group, Polypore International and TransDigm.
