James Neary is based in New York and heads the Industrial and Business Services team. He joined Warburg Pincus in 2000 and is a member of the firm’s Executive Management Group. From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Neary led the firm’s late-stage efforts in the technology and business services sectors in the U.S. From 2004 to 2010, he was Co-Head of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications investment efforts in the U.S. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Neary led the firm’s Capital Markets activities. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was a Managing Director at Chase Securities. Mr. Neary is the Chairman of Endurance International Group and Hygiena. He is also a Director of Crossmark, InComm Holdings, Sterigenics and WEX. He has previously served on the boards of Fidelity National Information Services, Inc., a bank technology processing company; Interactive Data Corporation, a firm providing financial market data and analytics and now owned by Intercontinental Exchange; Coyote Logistics, a truck brokerage business now owned by UPS; EFS (Electronic Funds Source), a leading fleet car provider to over-the-road (long haul) transportation customers; and Alert Global Media Holdings, a firm providing risk and compliance information and services to financial services companies. Mr. Neary is on the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai Health Systems, which unites six New York-area teaching hospitals, including Mount Sinai, Beth Israel, St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital. In addition, he is the Co-Chair of the President’s Council at Tufts University. He received a B.A. in economics and political science from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was the Eugene Lerner Finance Scholar.
