Peter R. Kagan is based in New York, joined Warburg Pincus in 1997 and leads the firm’s energy group. Mr. Kagan is also a member of the firm’s executive management group. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he worked in investment banking at Salomon Brothers in New York and Hong Kong. Mr. Kagan is a director of Antero Resources, Asian American Gas, Canbriam Energy, Fairfield Energy, Hawkwood Energy, Laredo Petroleum Holdings, MEG Energy, Targa Resources and Venari Resources. In addition, he is a director of Resources for the Future and a trustee of Milton Academy. Mr. Kagan received a B.A. cum laude from Harvard College and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees with honors from the University of Chicago.
