RFPL, located in Mumbai, India is in the business of providing
distribution, logistics, and value added services to food service
operators and retail stores. The company is India's first third-party
provider of such services in an organized and scalable manner in a
highly inefficient and fragmented industry. RFPL has created a
world-class distribution center in Mumbai and in the first phase will
serve Mumbai and adjoining markets. RFPL was founded by Raju Shete, an
experienced and successful entrepreneur in the food service and
logistics businesses, and is well positioned as the first mover in this
potentially large and attractive market. Warburg Pincus invested in the
company in 2004.
