Romanian Real Estate Partners was created in December 2005 to pursue opportunistic real estate development in Romania. The company was established with Andrew Stear, a real estate developer based in Romania, and GED, a leading Romanian private equity firm. Warburg Pincus has extended a €42 million equity line-of-credit to the company. Leveraging Warburg Pincus’ network in the region, the firm identified the investment opportunity after extensive research of the real estate environment in the major Central and Eastern European countries.
