Sintex, located in Gujarat, India, manufactures and markets a diverse
portfolio of plastic-related products and solutions, as well as
high-end, cotton-based textiles. The company is the only manufacturer
of prefabricated structures that utilize a plastic-concrete composite
material, a provider of custom-molded plastic manufacturing services
for industrial clients such as Cummins, and the largest producer of
plastic water tanks in India with a 60% market share. Sintex’s textiles
division manufactures and exports cotton-based structured fabrics,
known for their unique texture and multi-dimensional patterns. Warburg
Pincus invested in Sintex in 2005.
