Workscape is the leading provider of human resource self-service
applications to large employers. The company was founded to apply
rapidly expanding Internet and corporate intranet access to improve the
administration of human resources functions at large corporations. In
early 1999, Warburg Pincus invested $12.5 million in capital to acquire
and accelerate the development of a platform company providing HR
communication and enrollment services. Over the following three years,
Warburg Pincus continued to invest in Workscape, providing capital for
additional acquisitions and the development of best in class software
and service solutions for HR self-service. Today, Workscape's products
allow employees to access information or conduct a wide variety of
transactions including benefits selection and enrollment, payroll
options, and general corporate communications. Their manager
self-service products allow managers to plan and distribute
compensation throughout the corporation.
