ARI Network Services, Inc., formerly AgriData Resources, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides electronic data interchange ("EDI") and other computerized network and information services to targeted sectors of the U.S. agribusiness industry. The company has developed and operates a proprietary EDI network that links manufacturers, distributors and dealers ("trading partners") in three sectors of the agribusiness industry: agricultural chemicals ("Agrichemical"), farm and outdoor power equipment ("Equipment") and animal health products ("Animal Health"). These trading partners used the Company's network for business applications such as sales reporting, product ordering and sales force automation. Warburg Pincus provided early stage financing for ARI in 1983 and sold its interest in the company in 1993.
