Loyalty Management Group (London, United Kingdom, and Amsterdam, Holland) manages coalition loyalty programs worldwide. LMG's founder and Chairman, Keith Mills, developed the Air Miles concept and brand in the U.K. in 1988 through a joint venture with British Airways plc. LMG has subsequently developed market-leading coalition loyalty programs in Canada, The Netherlands, Spain and the Middle East. In 2002, Warburg Pincus invested $30 million in LMG to fund the launch of a new coalition loyalty program under the brand name Nectar in the U.K. Warburg Pincus made an additional $8 million investment in LMG following the launch of Nectar. LMG has contracts with various, major national retailers, who receive category exclusivity in return for long term commitments to outsource their loyalty program activities to LMG. Nectar is currently the largest consumer loyalty program in the U.K., with a market leading brand underpinned by a sophisticated database marketing business exploiting valuable customer data for program sponsors. |
