Orion Pictures Stage: LBOs and Special Situations Date of Investment: 1982

In February 1982, Warburg Pincus acquired 40% of a partnership formed to acquire Orion Pictures Company. On March 31, 1983 Orion completed a public offering. During Warburg's ownership of the Company, Orion produced films such as "First Blood", "Lone Wolf McQuade" and "Breathless". Warburg Pincus sold its interest in Orion in 1986.
