Warburg Pincus invested in Sterling Publishing Group in 1990. Sterling is a publicly traded business publishing company in London and is one of the United Kingdom's leading publishers of international business reference books, trade publications and magazines. Through its three subsidiaries, Sterling Publications ltd, Cornhill Publications, and Turret Group, Sterling publishes over 150 monthly, quarterly and annual publications. The publications are address specific and have controlled circulations of 12000-15000. Sterling also organizes trade shows. The Company operates in the United Kingdom and the United States. Warburg Pincus sold its position in Sterling in 1994.
