Systinet has emerged as a leader in the field of web services, due primarily to its WASP product line that allows companies to easily create, publish, discover and deploy web services. Founded in 2000 by Roman Stanek, the company is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachsetts and has engineering operations in Prague, Czech Republic. Prior to forming Systinet, Stanek founded NetBeans, a Java development tool company, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems. Warburg Pincus has known Stanek for several years and had followed the progress of Systinet from its initial founding in a comprehensive review of innovative software for web-enabled services.
