Bridge Communications, Inc. was a leading supplier of high performance,
general purpose local area network ("LAN") systems which provided a
comprehensive solution to the data communications requirements of
corporations, institutions and government agencies. In 1982, Warburg
Pincus provided growth financing for Bridge Communications. The company
was sold to 3Com in 1988.
