Industri-Matematik International, "The Order Company", is a provider of
high performance supply chain solutions. Its software helps
organizations manage the customer order life cycle and replenishment
across the retail value chain. IMI has been a pioneer in building
commercial enterprise management systems on open hardware and software
platforms. The company operates on a global basis with customers such
as AstraZeneca, Kellogg's, Royal Ahold, Carlton United Breweries,
Canadian Tire, British Airways, Price Chopper, Sherwin-Williams, and
Starbucks. Warburg Pincus purchased a significant position in IMI in
June 1991 and, in conjunction with its founder, took the company
private from a public market on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in
November 1991. IMI completed its initial public offering in the U.S. in
September 1996, with a follow-on offering plus secondary in November
1997.
