Aicent is a third party communications services company which provides mobile data interoperability solutions to wireless carriers. Warburg Pincus invested in Aicent in 2005. Over time, Aicent expects to extend its interoperability services suite to include mobile data application providers and content providers. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, and has approximately two-thirds of its resources (including its R&D center and customer support center) in Beijing, China. Since inception in 2000, the company established a close relationship with China Mobile which has become Aicent’s anchor customer.
