Gangavaram Port, located in Vishakapatnam, India, is the deepest and most efficient cargo-handling port in India. While the Port began commercial operations in April 2009, Warburg Pincus invested during the early stages of port construction to fund the first phase of development. The Port will be developed in three phases and will provide handling services for a variety of cargo including, coal, iron ore, foodgrains, petrochemicals and containers.
