RDA Microelectronics, headquartered in Shanghai, China, is a fabless semiconductor design company focused on a broad portfolio of radio frequency and mixed-signal products across the wireless, broadcast and consumer markets. The company was co-founded by Warburg Pincus and Vincent Tai, a seasoned executive in the technology industry, to develop a business in the fast-growing Chinese electronics market that now makes up 50 percent of global demand. The company has grown rapidly and is the largest fabless semiconductor design company in China by revenue. Warburg Pincus initially invested in RDA Microelectronics in 2004. The company completed an initial public offering on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in November 2010.
