Suniva, Inc. is a metro-Atlanta, Georgia-based manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells and high-power solar modules using patented and unique low-cost techniques. The company leverages its own in-house developed intellectual property and sells its advanced solar products worldwide.
The management team is led by CEO John Baumstark, an experienced executive with a successful track record of value creation at multiple previous start-up companies.
Warburg Pincus led an equity financing into Suniva in April 2009.
