Fairfield Energy Ltd. is a Staines, England-based exploration and production company. The company is focused on the exploitation of undeveloped and abandoned oil and natural gas fields in the UK Sector of the North Sea through a balance of redevelopment, appraisal and exploration activities. Since formation, Fairfield has built a balanced portfolio of North Sea assets, including an operated interest in the producing Dunlin cluster of fields which was acquired in 2008.
The management team is led by CEO Chris Wright, who previously spent 20 years at British Petroleum, ultimately serving as CEO of Frontier and International.
Warburg Pincus led an initial line of equity financing to Fairfield in November 2005 and has subsequently led several follow-on financings.
