Headquartered in Borken, Germany, Petrotec Biodiesel is Germany’s
leading producer of high-quality biodiesel from recycled oils and fats,
such as used cooking oil. The company has developed a proprietary,
multi-feedstock biodiesel processing technology and maintains one of
Germany’s largest dedicated recycling networks for used cooking oil,
serving over 12,000 restaurants. Led by C.E.O. Roger Boeing, Petrotec
is one of Germany's most profitable Biodiesel producers. Warburg Pincus
invested in the management-led buy-out of Petrotec in May 2006 with the
goal of further accelerating the company’s growth.
