Constitution Medical Investors, Inc., headquartered in Boston, MA is focused on pursuing investments in platform companies and technologies primarily within the in vitro diagnostics and medical device sectors, where the principals will be able to leverage their product development, regulatory, clinical and commercial experience. Constitution Medical was formed in June 2008 by Warburg Pincus and senior healthcare executives Patrick J. Sullivan and Daniel J. Levangie. Mr. Sullivan is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytyc Corporation and, until recently, served as Executive Chairman of Hologic, Inc., which acquired Cytyc in October 2007. Mr. Levangie previously was Executive Vice President of Cytyc Corporation and President of Cytyc’s Surgical Products Division. Over the course of 15 years at Cytyc, one of the leading companies focused on improving healthcare for women, the Constitution Medical Investors executive team helped grow the company to $700 million in annual revenues and establish operations in 20 countries.
