Bess Weatherman is a Special Limited Partner of Warburg Pincus. She joined Warburg Pincus in 1988 and during her 28 years at the firm, she primarily focused on investment activities in the healthcare sector. She served as a member of the Executive Management group from 2001 to 2016 and led the firm’s Healthcare group from 2008 to 2015. She is a Director of Silk Road Medical (NASDAQ: SILK), Nevro (NYSE:NVRO) and Vapotherm (NYSE:VAPO). Bess has twice been named to the Forbes’ Midas List recognizing the 100 most highly regarded dealmakers in the venture capital industry and she was the recipient of the 2014 Women of Power and Influence Award from the National Organization of Women. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Stanford University, serves on the Advisory Council of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Investment Committee of Mount Holyoke College, and a Trustee of Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, NY, and previously served as a Director of the National Venture Capital Association. Bess received a BA in English, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Mount Holyoke College and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
